Solis Barki is a multi-talented artist born in Athens, Greece. He is renowned for his skills in music, illustration, and comic creation.
Solis studied Mediterranean, Persian, and African percussion instruments with Michalis Klapakis and Lefteris Grigoriou, and he has a particular interest in sound colors and sound images. He specializes in frame drums such as Bendir and all kinds of tambourines.
Solis has collaborated with various renowned artists, including Michalis Nikoloudis, Vasilis Rakopoulos, Ross Daly, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Nena Venetsanou, and many others. He was also a member of several bands such as Magic Carpet, Dingo, Theros, Dakhtyla tis Hekati, Krusta tis Taki, and Lyravlos.
Solis Barki has released several works, including a collaboration with Lamia Bedioui entitled FIN’AMOR, which features voice and percussion. He has also participated in various dance and theater groups, such as the Spring Theater, Thessalian Theater, National Theater, AMALGAMA group, and Natassa Zouka’s group.
His illustrations have featured in various books and magazines, and he has exhibited his art both nationally and internationally.
